Taco Bell
A rebranding of the famous fast food chain!
CHALLENGE
To redesign the Taco Bell logo and reanimate it for 16:9 and 9:16 frames!

The feel is energetic and nostalgic from the shapes and animation!

The main part of the logo creation was multiple variations. There were many renditions, and using the base idea of using the shapes that were commonly used back in the 90’s and early 2000’s that were used in Taco Bell’s branding and interior design. There were many different shapes and orientations, along with different color combinations to see what worked best!

The first two sets of logo designs heavily were inspired by these 90’s shapes and bold colors. There was a heavy use of pink, purple, and blue tones and the use of shapes in different placements to encapsulate the bell or text. The bell, as time went on, simplified and the 90’s shapes became more accents to the full logo.

The 3rd exploration took away the other types of 90’s shapes to focus on the triangle, circle, and abstract line. These represent the 3 parts of the taco, the triangle for the taco shell, the circle for the tomato, and the abstract line for the lettuce. The 4th and final exploration played into this idea more, going for a full taco look for some ideas, and others to have the shapes as accents.

Chosen Idea
In the end, the 90’s shapes were used more as accents while the main logo was a simple bell silhouette with the logo’s text!
color palette
Purple was still the main focus, but the accent colors of the shapes were chosen specifically for representing cheese, lettuce, and tomato, common ingredients used in a taco!
